Rush Limbaugh speech: www.youtube.com Mr Limbaugh unemployment check is a lifeline, a way to keep you from being hungry while you pound the pavement looking for work. How easy it must be for Rush Limbaugh, sitting in the lap of luxury, making more money in a month than many of us will make in a lifetime, to sit behind a microphone and make sport of those who, invariably through no fault of their own, are unable to support their families.

PBS NewsHour is planning a story on the long-term unemployed With only three days remaining until the House takes an early summer recess, it’s imperative that the unemployed and 99ers — benefit exhaustees – in particular be given the media attention they deserve. Unfortunately the Wikileaked Afghan War documents seem to have taken the media by storm. These are vital documents that show the real state of that war, but much of what they expose — the war is going badly – has already been known by many experts, but ignored by the media at large. These documents are a behind the scenes look at how the war is being conducted and deserve attention, but not at the expense of millions of Americans who are suffering from a pathetically slow job market and have exhausted unemployment benefits. These are the kind of stories that give politicians cover from addressing other issues, such as unemployment.
